As we lean into the busy energy of summer at Cows & Co, it has been wonderful to see so many familiar faces enjoying our patio and making the most of the warm weather. Whether you are stopping by the Milkhouse or grabbing a scoop at Brewhalla, we have loved having you spend your sunny days with us.
The boys are growing as fast as the summer weeds, and so are the dogs! In case you missed the news, we recently welcomed two Great Pyrenees puppies, Eve and Baxter, to the farm. They have settled into farm life beautifully, enjoying time with our family and meeting all our wonderful visitors.
The girls have been busy churning gelato for our orders, visitors at the Cafe, the Milkhouse, and Brewhalla. While we love our gelato year-round, it is especially perfect during the heat of summer. Since we are equally passionate about coffee, we decided to share one of our favorite simple pleasures: the affogato.
In Italian, "affogato" means "drowned," which is exactly what you do, drown a scoop of your favorite gelato in a shot of hot espresso. While we personally love using Vanilla Bean, Salted Vanilla Caramel Swirl, or Dutch Chocolate, the possibilities for flavors are endless. We have perfected the ratio, and we think this makes for the ultimate summer pick-me-up or after dinner dessert.
